Brielle is now 2 1/2 weeks old and is just a wonderful baby and is very different in her sleeping and eating patterns to her 3 older sisters which is much to my delight. She doesn't tend to sleep a lot during the day but does make up for it with better sleep at night.

Sadly I still haven't had a chance to create yet but I am getting eager to get back into it :) My challenge this week is to clean up the scraproom/kids TV room so I can get creating. I have many, many thank you cards to make for all the lovely and generous friends and family who have spoilt my little girl rotten!!! Not to mention a billion layouts that need to be created to try and catch up for the 9 month dry spell.

Among those photos I have are the ones I am about to share. I had a professional maternity photo shoot done towards the end of my pregnancy. I have never done this before but thought it was the last chance I would have to do it and even though I felt like an elephant I was extremely happy with the end result. In a few weeks time I am taking Brielle back to the photographer to get some newborn photos and new family photos done too. I can't wait to get them done.

Since I embarked on my pregnancy journey with my fourth pregnancy I have neglected my blog and my scrapbooking. Not by choice but with the hardships I have endured throughout my whole pregnancy.

However, I am happy to announce that my pregnancy has now come to an end. I am extremely happy and proud to announce the safe arrival of Miss Brielle Jacey. Another perfect little princess and addition to our family.

So the other reason for the lack of posting and the lack of scrapbooking is because my hubby and I are expecting baby number 4. I was unfortunately blessed with over 2 months of sickness and also feeling tired.

But I think now that I am halfway. Yep 20 weeks I am starting to feel better and less tired so hope to get back into the swing of getting creative again as I have really missed it.

Our renovations are getting closer to being finished. The concreting is done, new carport is done, front fence is done. Just need the pool fencing and the side fencing/gates the irrigation and landscaping. Very exciting and just in time for the wet season.

I still haven't had time to scrap and my scraproom is plain dirty. So last weekend I started to clean but it is a big job so will try to finish cleaning this weekend and hopefully get back into the swing of creating again. It has been about 4 months I think.

I will leave you with the last layouts I did back in August which I haven't shared before. Just simple layouts again as I am enjoying the less is more.

Missing in Action

Yep I have been missing in action!!

Why you ask?

Well lots of reasons - work, kids, sport, general life and then there are the books I have been hooked on (Janet Evanovich - Stephanie Plum Series) and lastly home renovations (second driveway, new carport, fencing, concreting, exterior painting and eventually landscaping). The outside looks like one big great dirt pit with a bit of grass that has finally grown back. But in the next 2-3 weeks will be transformed and be well worth the wait and mess. Not enjoying the constant dust that goes with the dirt pit. Pictures to come later.

I have also taught my first and second class at LSS Stamp Craft (see images below). I am looking forward to teaching again.

Either than my classes I haven't done any scrapping for such a long time (about 3 months I think). I am eager to get back in my room and get into it again. I did attend LSS retreat about two months ago now. Will share the few layouts I managed in the next post. Just need to get my camera to behave itself to download.

I have registered to join in and learn new techniques with Jessica Sprague's FREE photo editing class. I can't wait to learn. Did I mention it was FREE :) Anyone can join the class for free by registering to attend between 22 - 28 June 2009.

Also thought I would share a another sneak peak for another class I will be teaching at LSS Stamp Craft. I haven't yet booked a date for that one but will be soon :)

Lucky Me

A few blog posts ago I shared my good fortune when I was lucky to win Cassandra's blog RAK. Well it arrived last week. Not only was I excited to have in my hot little hands the gorgeous handmade canvas but she spoilt me by including additional goodies too. Thank you to Cassandra for her generosity!!!

My mum arrives on Thursday morning to look after my girls for the 4 week school holidays. Can't wait to see her again and spend some time with her. The girls just love spending time with her and hopefully get some good photos.

Not much else to share at the moment. Have been busy with work, sport, and family commitments. Hoping to get in the scraproom tonight and have a play.

Long time no share

Well it has been a while. Where time is going I don't know but it just seems to pass by really quickly at the moment. I have been busy with work, kids sporting commitments, coaching commitments, playing sport myself, school council and life in general. Not sure how it all fits in but it just does.

I have also been putting together a few class for LSS Stamp Craft. One OTP item and a layout. I am very excited about both and can't wait to teach them. I just hope other like the class too and people book in.

I haven't done much scrapping for myself but did do a bit 3-4 weeks back for the Blue Bazaar Boot Camp. Again they are more on the basic side of what I normally do but with such limited time it seems to be what is working best for me at the moment.

The past few weeks have been crazy. First it was my daughter's first birthday and a big party for her in between sports commitments. Then I got a bad case of the flu but thanks to antibiotics I am just about back to normal again.

My Baby Turns 4!!

Yep my baby turned the big 4 today and such a bittersweet moment. Lani has been eagerly looking forward to her birthday. But when we woke her this morning at 6am by singing her Happy Birthday she adamantly told us it was not her birthday. As Lani's birthday party is not until the weekend I think she thought that her birthday was not until then. Kids are funny.

Anyway here is my little big girl on her 4th birthday today.

Where to start..........

Okay firstly I have been extremely lucky to win a RAK from Cassandra Glass. Here is what I am blessed to be getting. Thanks again Cass. You work is always so amazing and inspirational. This piece I will treasure for a long time to come.

5. I love hockey. After 13 years I took the plunge this year to go back and play and despite the injuries I am having a ball.
6. I love my job and the support I have that is developing me along the way.
7. I love kicking back a having a nice cold glass of wine.

The family and I decided to dress up as Goth's and we had a ball. It was an amazing night and worth the sore head the next day.

Arafura Games Opening Ceremony

The Arafura Games Opening Ceremony was just amazing!! We went because our daughter Paige was a part of the 100+ dancers. We were very proud and she did an amazing job. Being a part of the crowd was great and loved cheering all the teams as they came out to March. There were teams from 49 countries. Christine Anu and Jon Stevens were the big acts of the night singing a few songs as the kids danced. Get ready for a picture overload :)

Here is my share from some weekend scrapping that I managed to squeeze in on Sunday and one from last night. Again they are more basic than I normally do but still very happy with them. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

To all the wonderful Mother's out there or even women out there who are so important in someone's life. Today is the day to celebrate how thankful we all are to have you.

I was spoilt this morning with bacon, eggs and tomatoes. Yummo!!! Not to mention it was all put together shaped like a racing car.

Then it was onto opening all the gorgeous handmade gifts from my special girls. I just love handmade stuff so much and always emphasize to my girls how much I prefer them to something store bought. I got handmade bath salts, a paper plate mail holder, bookmark, plaster shaped and hand painted ornaments and some paintings. Loved it all.

Also need to sing out a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my friend and gorgeous neighbour Christine. Happy 40th and can't wait to party hard next weekend with you for the big celebrations.

We headed down to the beach this afternoon for baked potatoes with my lovely SIL, BIL and gorgeous newphew and neice. Such a wonderful way to end the day.

A few things....

Well I have to say what is the world coming too or should I say school days coming to when you get punched in the face unprevoked?!?! Well this is what happened to my eldest daughter Paige this morning who not only got her hair pulled and shoved around by having her shirt pulled while walking away from a girl who had been told untrue rumours of my daughter saying something about this girl. So to top off the bullying she then punches Paige in the face. This makes me so angry. Paige on the other hand was so traumatised by the event the assistant principal requested I pick her up from school. So I had to leave work at 11:00am today. See below pic of the nice bruise she now has. I have circled it to see.

On a happier note I did receive some happy mail today. I ordered some yummy goodies from KittyRobot as they were just so damn cute. I reckon you can never have too many :) You can pick yourself up some here.

Also my baby is growing up and turns 4 this month. Not sure where all the time has flown. She has asked for a Dora the Explorer Fairytale Party. Not sure how I am going to pull off the cake but working on ideas. I still have another week to decide. Not sure to go with a castle and add the Dora figurine or create a Dora Fairytale shape cake. Here is the invite that went out today to all of her friends.

Long weekend = Family and a touch of Scrapbooking

Well the week again has been so busy with work and sport and children's commitments. I won't bore you with the details :)

This weekend has been great with spending time with my family and also my SIL & BIL and gorgeous newphew and niece. I did finally manage some scrapbooking time today too. They are only basic layouts but I have decided that with what seems to be limited time to scrap I have to make the most of what I have. I have also taken up the Blue Bazaar Bootcamp Challenge. Some layouts to share

Well I have to say I glad that last week is over. So after my last post Wednesday was athletics training for my daughter Tahlia. Thursday night was hockey training for me which I ended up pulling a groin muscle. Yet how ridiculous is that. Followed by Friday night with Tahlia's athletics comp and Saturday morning was full of hockey - coaching my under 8's team whom I must say played so well only to lose in the last 20 seconds with the opposing team scoring a goal. Then my other daughter Paige and then Tahlia played their game.

After hockey back home and getting ready for a kids scrapbooking class at a coworkers place. It was lots of fun but really, really hot. The Swensens Yummy Yummy double layout is what we did. I can't take all the credit as I did scraplift one of the layouts as I was running out of time.

Then I had a hockey game at 9pm. It started out well and then I pulled my groin muscle even worse and by the time I got home I couldn't walk or bend properly and shed some tears. Yes what a sook I am but damn it really hurt so bad. Sunday was spent using the RICE method on my injury. It has helped and I now can walk properly but can't do any more than that.

Work is still crazy busy and will be until the end of the month so looking forward to the end of the week and a bonus too as it is a long weekend.

Finally on the scrappy front I applied for the Kaiser DT but didn't hold much hope and with 144 applications submitted really knew I didn't stand a chance. I found out today I didn't get it but I am happy with that as I know I put my hat in the ring which I finally feel I want to do more.

Well I have to say Kitty Robot have done it again. I have no idea where they come up with their creations and how they create so much detail and small and cute.

I had order some as soon as I saw them and can't wait to touch and see them in person. You can check the out here :)

Again this week has been crazy. I had a school council meeting Monday night. Tuesday night for the first time I coached my Under 8's hockey team. Then I had training and an extra 20 minutes of fitness. Tonight my daughter Tahlia had athletics training. And work has been full on every day for the past week and a half.

I haven't had the opportunity to scrap for a week and a half now but tonight I finally tidied it all up and put everything back in after painting. But I am teaching a kids scrapbooking class on Saturday for a friend so will have something to share by the weekend.

One Big Week.....

This past week has been a really big one for me. It started with my daughter Tahlia being sick with constant high fevers starting Easter Saturday and by Easter Monday the panadol and nurofen just wasn't making the temp go down. Thinking that the fevers usually indicate that it is a viral sickness I wasn't too concerned but just to make sure I took her up to the Emergency Department. We only had to sit in the waiting room for 1 hour which was quick and then into a bed for monitoring and a bunch of tests - chest xray, blood and urine tests. She was deemed more of a concern as we had recently travelled overseas so she was tested for everything down to malaria. Poor little chook but thankfully all test came back clear and it was just viral and we had to keep up what we were doing. The down side was that we didn't get home from the hospital until 3am on Tuesday morning and I had to work. So not a good start to the week. I got into work an hour late so Tahlia and I could get a little extra sleep. Tahlia came to work with me for a few hours while I completed some urgent work and then home again for both of us to rest.

Then that afternoon I was off to hockey training for the kids and myself. After training I was asked if interested to coach one of the clubs under 8's team which I wasn't sure of but as of Saturday I have now taken on the challenge. I also got asked to play B Grade hockey which was scary. My fitness is not up to where it needs to be yet.

Wednesday was a no commitment after work day. Thursday was hockey training for me. Friday it was my birthday (29 years young) and I was spoilt with a multifunctional printer/scanner/copier which I have wanted for a long time, a new camera bag for my camera and spare lens, handmade gifts from Tahlia, a voucher for LSS, yummy body lotion and some money to spend too. Not sure what to spend the money on yet.

Friday night we went out to dinner at the Wharf with family and friends and it was just lovely. Even got to see a dolphin out in the harbour which was a highlight as I love dolphins. Sadly towards the end of the night my daughter Lani was not well and cried on and off for a good hour only wanted me to hold her and saying she was cold and wanted to go home. Not a good sign when the temperature up here in Darwin is at least a constant 33 degrees.

Saturday morning was up early as it is hockey day for the kids. Paige had a game at 8am so we had to be there 30 minutes before and the under 8's team I was coaching played at 8am also. Have to add my nephew plays in the team I coach too. So after Paige's game off home and my niece and nephew decided they wanted to come and play so home for an hour and back to hockey to watch my other daughter Tahlia play. Next was to drop my niece and nephew off home and then back home for us. I decided to give the scraproom a second coat of paint. Yep you heard right. I have painted the scraproom and now it looks nice and fresh. Just need to decide on a colour for the feature wall now. That night I played in the B grade womens team and boy I have to say it was hard. Harder than C grade by far. But a good experience and was lucky to have a great cheer squad in my nephew who came along too. Home after hockey and my niece and nephew stayed the night. We all were so pooped everyone was asleep fairly quick.

Sunday everyone sleep in which was just bliss. I really needed to catch up on some sleep and my lovely husband cooked the household pancakes for breakfast. The best reason to get up on a Sunday. Lunchtime rolled around and we took my neice and newphew home and off to do the groceries and home again. Then I decided to take a nap and slept for about 3 hours. I think I could have slept through to the next day. I guess busy weeks really catch up on you.

And the good news. Next week is going to be just as busy!!!!

Happy Easter everyone. I hope the Easter bunny has made it to your house :)

I am just loving this long weekend with no plans to go anywhere or do anything. I have now 3/4 cleaned my scraproom and maybe it's time to take the trip to Bunnings for some paint :)

I have been scrapping and relaxing but sadly what feels like not enough sleep. My poor darling daughter Tahlia has been sick with fevers and a chesty cough and my youngest daughter Leilani has a sniffly nose and a bit of a cough too. So needless to say they have been spending a lot of time in bed and drinking lots of water and lots of medication.

Finally here a few more layouts I have done. I have a few other things completed but can't share just yet.

Holiday Pics

Well I finally played my first official game of C grade club hockey last Sunday. I didn't do as bad as I thought I would but still have a long way to go. My fitness is a big downfall so I have to work harder on that. My coach did say that after a few more games I will be ready to play B grade. Scary really as I have been away for 13 years and even then I wasn't top notch. But alas I am loving it and hope to see myself progress this season.

I have been doing some scrapping. I will share that in my next post. I am in the process of cleaning up my room. I have bought another set of draws so that is my mission this long weekend. Also hoping to get a can of paint and paint my scraproom and make it feel fresh.

I have a few scrapbooking classes coming up soon for Stampcraft. One is using the Twiddleybitz shadow box and the other will be a page layout using one of the April releases for Kaisercraft. So watch this space :)

Lastly here are some of my holiday pics. I had so many to choose from but have left you with a few of my favourites. I am sure you will see them coming up in my scrapping.

Back from Holidays

So the family and I now home from our holiday to Singapore, Phuket and Kuala Lumper for 13 days. We had an absolute ball relaxing, shopping, eating, drinking and just simply having lots of fun. I took nearly 900 photos whilst on holidays so am slowly looking through them for some to upload and share. We had a few mishaps with one of our suitcases going missing on arrival to Phuket and so say the least we were very annoyed. But whilst out shopping for clothes as we had none with the suitcase gone on our arrival back to the hotel there was our suitcase waiting for us thank goodness. Then the next was Paige vomited out the taxi window on the way back to Phuket airport to fly to Kuala Lumper. Then I myself had some stomach bloating the last day in Kuala Lumper and ended up in bed for 1/2 the day unable to eat and had hot and cold sweats. When we finally arrived back home in Darwin Paige thought she was going to vomit but it ended up Tahlia and I had to rush her to the closest toilet. I can't wait to get scrapping now with so many photos and ideas running through my head.

I have managed a tiny amount of scrapping. Nothing too exciting just a couple of simple layouts and a mini OTP. The Love Rocks Layout is still missing the photo which I have in mind just have to get it printed and stuck down. Note the gorgeous litle owl I have used on it too. It was hand created by none other than KittyRobot.

I know I have been a really slack blogger and a bit of a slack scrapper too. Now that I have a new job I am putting everything I have into it to prove myself and show that I can do the job really well. Which in turns some days leaves me exhausted by the time I get home. Then I have to do all the domestic duties and help with homework and stuff. But all good. I think I am coming closer to finding a good balance so I can get back to the scrapping.

I have also fallen off the bandwagon with my Body for Life. Bummed about that but I have maintained the few kilos I did lose. I have signed up to play hockey this season so that will be mandatory exercise 3 times a week which I am really excited about. All of my girls are playing this year too so will have to get a photo of us all in our club shirts.

My family and I are jetting off to Phuket, Kuala Lumper and Singapore on Friday evening. We are all very excited and I can't wait to relax and chill on the beach and play with my camera. So there will be lots of photos to share. I am tossing up whether to get another tattoo or not. It will depend on cost I think as the Aussie dollar isn't doing too good against the Baht.

With what scrapping I have done I had been trying to follow the Blue Bazaar Crop Fest. I can't admit I managed all of the layouts in the timeframe but I am going to keep going with it until I have them all done as I have enjoyed the easy layouts.

Well it has been a whirlwind of a few weeks or so now. So many things happening.

Firstly I went to another retreat with LSS Stampcraft back on 16 January for the whole weekend. I had a ball but didn't scrap as much as I had hoped to. You will see below the 10 layouts I did managed to do. They are a mix of colour challenges and sketches that were on throughout the weekend and then some of my own. Can't wait for the next one.

Next my mum came in for a quick 6 day visit to surprise my girls which was fantastic. We had an awesome big banquet on Chinese New Year with friends and family. So lots more photos to scrap there too.

I also found out just over a week ago that I won a permanent position a few levels higher than I am now but in the same Department. It is so overwelming and I can't wait until I take on the new challenges of the role. I love to be busy and I am sure the new challenges will do this for me. I also went out to celebrate my good news on a girls nights out while my mum was up here and paid for it the next day with a sore head but it was so worth it.

My little big girl started her very first day of preschool this week. I just can't believe how quickly time has flown and to see her all grown up was just so bittersweet.

I am enjoying scrapping again. It really did feel like such a long time ago. Now I am on leave from work for a few weeks with the kids I hope to get into some more. I am off to a scrapping weekend again this weekend so very much looking forward to that. I think I just might be needing after being home with the kids this week :)

My not so handy hubby thought he would try his hand one night (out of the blue) to fix our fridge that has been leaking water for many, many months. Well he broke it and now the freezer door is being propped up with something so it actually closes. Our new fridge arrives tomorrow and I can't wait.

So far this year has just been great and it has only just started. I am now on my second week of Body for Life and going great guns. I did my first weigh in on 1 January and my start weight was 73.7kg and when I weighed in on 8 January I was 72.5kg and only been doing body for life for 3 days really. So I am over the moon with that and has given me the motivation to keep going.

My mum rang last week and has surprised me telling me that seeing as I was home off work with the kids that she wanted to come up and spend a week with me. Now this is a big thing for my mum who refuses to come up here unless it is the dry season. I really can't wait to spend time with mum again. Then there is Chinese New Year which this year falls on the same day as Australia day. Mum and I will be doing a big cook off and invite friends over for dinner.

I also had a job interview for a permanent position in the same Department I am in now but a few levels higher. I believe that there were 10 applicants in total and only 2 deemed suitable for an interview and I was one of them. So I am in with a 50/50 chance. I am so happy to have even got that far but of course winning the job would be the icing on the cake. Now it's the waiting game - the not so fun bit.

Well I think the mojo is coming back. I had an urge to be back in the scraproom.

I didn't do a lot but I had some mini albums on the go which I have now finally finished and also a Digital Photo Frame that my gorgeous neighbour Christine gave me for Christmas. I am thinking that the frame will look great on my desk at work :)

Today I also embarked on my new healthy lifestyle. I am following the Body for Life method. So far so good and enjoying the change very much. I am off to sign up to the local gym on Thursday and will start that next week. This weeks exercise will be walking/jogging. I also am participating in the Life Be In It Corporate Hockey with a team called The Raging Roadies at work. I am really excited about that. I honestly didn't think I would see the day where I would be so excited about exercise.

Now enough of my ramblings for today. I will leave you with my mini albums.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wow how fast did 2008 just fly past. I am so excited that 2009 is here and we as a family have so many plans this year. After living in our house for 2 years this year we will finally be doing some much needed renovations. My baby girl will start Preschool this year like a big girl. I have plans to change my lifestyle and eat better and exercise more and shed some weight. Also plan to join the local hockey club too and play this season. Of course that means lots of photo opportunities so lots of scrapbooking too.

I have to admit that I lost my mojo for the past 6 weeks and haven't really done much. With a mix of being busy at work and trying to secure a promotional position too. I plan to ensure that I get some regular scrapbooking time this year. I also don't plan to do much scrapbooking shopping either as we are taking a family holiday in March overseas again so have to save the dollars. I think I have plenty of paper to keep me going in the meantime and use more of what I already have.

Long time no blog

It has been a while since my last post. I have been busy at work and home and just consumed with life in general. I haven't scrapped for a while either so I don't have anything to share. I should have soon though as I have some Christmas presents to make including a calendar for my mum.

I just can't believe how close Christmas is now. Thankfully DH has been a god send this year and has been purchasing presents online for the past 4 months so we are pretty much ready except for a few little things. So strange to be organised so early but it is a really good thing.

My older girls have their end of school Christmas concert on tomorrow night so I will hopefully have some pictures to share after that.

That really wraps me up in a nutshell for now :)

I only took the photos last night and they aren't the greatest but will do for sharing purposes as I was feeling tired :) There is one that I will not show yet as it needs a couple of finishing touches added to it.

The layouts range from challenges, sketches, just made up and even one scraplifted piece. She is Fawned of You, Our Happy Place and Family are my two favourites. Family is the scraplifted layout.

I made it home just a few hours ago from LSS Stamp Craft's 4 day Scrapbooking Getaway. Now this was my very first getaway and I have to say WOW it was totally awesome. HUGE THANKS must go to Leanne and Karen for all of the organisation and extrememly generous prizes. I have already put my name down for the one planned for next year at the same time.

So I did do lots of scrapping, sleeping, some drinking, lots and lots of laughing and even some exercise and some relaxation chilling out in the pool. I managed to complete 18 layouts over the four days which included some of the challenges that were set every day. I was even lucky enough to win the very first and very last prize for the 4 day getaway. Can't believe my luck!!

I haven't taken any photos of them yet and too tired to do it tonight. Plus I need to spend some time with the kids and hubby. Will put them up in the next day or too.

Weekend of Creativity

Well after 2 weeks of not a lot of creating I think I have made up for it this weekend. I managed to do 11 layouts. One of them I won't share yet as I need to print some photos for it.

The following layouts I have taken from sketches, scraplifted a few and just keeping the layouts basic.

I think I have managed so many as I moved my scrapping table and supplies into the family room so I can scrap in there when DH and the kids are there and be together, rather than feeling guilty hiding in my own room doing my own thing. So will leave my set up in the family room for now :)

I am off to a Scrapbooking Retreat with LSS in 2 weeks time for 4 whole days!!! Yep 4 whole days with no kids. I am so excited as this is my very first ever Retreat. Got to get photos organised in the next week to get printed so I have a good selection to scrap with.

Long time no blog :( Between being sick and flat out busy at work it hasn't left me with much time to scrap let alone much else.

But this weekend - well actually Sunday arvo I did manage a some layouts.

Scrap Shop Talk

On Thursday night I was advised that Addicted2Scrapping was closing down. With this news I decided that I was done with online DT's and I would now focus more on my DT position at LSS and move forward with the lovley owner Karen. Then on Friday morning I received an email to advise that Addicted2Scrapping was staying over. I decided to step down as I had already decided that I wanted to focus with LSS. Then on Saturday night I received another email to advised that Addicted2Scrapping was closing again. So that is that.

Since Saturday I am been working on something exciting for LSS Stamp Craft which I hope I can reveal really soon. Just want to run it past Karen to make sure she is happy with it first. So watch this space!!!

I hope to be teaching classes at LSS Stamp Craft next month. Just working on some prototypes so can't wait to see who books in :)

I have been busy the past week doing my DT scrapping for Addicted2Scrapping. Here is what I have created.

That's a wrap for me today. I have been flat out with work as I am acting in a new job for 3 weeks which is such a great experience but comes with lots and lots of high level work which I am just loving.

So with being not well I haven't done really any scrapping. I hate being sick. Instead I have been doing more Sketches. I am having a ball doing them so here they are to share. I am sure there will be more to coming in the coming week or even days.

Hoping to get back into the scrapping on Friday night. My lovely neighbour Christine is having a scrap night at her place and the kids can come too. Means I don't have to lug all my stuff too far and don't have far to go home if I forget something. I am really eager to get creating again after being sick. Thankfully I am on the mend and still taking cold and flu tablets to make sure.

Sadly it is Monday and the start of the working week for me. Can't believe that the weekend has just come and gone. I spent all of the weekend in bed as I was stuck with a yucky head cold. Only today am I actually feeling somewhat better.

So I don't really have much to share. I did do a layout for a Buzz and Bloom competition that was called Scraplift the DT. Thankfully I did it earlier last week so it was done in time. I scraplifted a layout by Lusi Austin who I am a great fan of.

I got my DT pack today from Addicted2Scrapping and all I can say is WOW!! It was just full of scrappy goodness. I seriously can't wait to get creating with it all. I have already pulled it all out to have a touch and feel. So watch this space for some more layouts and stuff :)

In other news LSS Stamp Craft is having Blind Scrapping Challenges on again this Friday night so that should be fun. Hope all you local Darwin girls can join in the fun. It was great to see so many fantastic layouts last month.

A few weeks ago now DH took us down to the beach. The girls had a ball and I took along my camera just in case. Took some great pics which I forgot about and came across tonight as I downloaded from my camera. So thought I would share a few.

Well finally here is the winner of my RAK.

So after attending the awesome Delicious Dyes class at LSS Stamp Craft I had to share the layout. It's not quite finished but just LOVE how it looks. Thanks Karen and Jo for so much fun.

While I was at Stamp Craft Karen had just got in some new stuff. A good range of Twiddley Bits chipboard. All I can say is WOW what great designs and at such an awesome prices too. So get in and check it out and buy up big. It has been hot and selling quick.

Also dropped in a layout to for Karen on Monday night so now I can reveal it here. I was given a Buzz and Bloom tree with an owl which would normally be used as an OTP piece but Karen wanted it on a page. Here is what I came up with.

I know it has been a little while since the last update but it has been busy with work, home, kids sporting commitments and some scrapping.

Addicted2Scrapping held it's first Cybercrop over the weekend and it was loads of fun. The gallery is looking amazing and lots of talented work in there. Good luck ladies as the voting polls are open and will close midnight Sunday 31 August 2008.

On other news I went to a class at LSS Stamp Craft on Monday night to do Jo Carey's Delicious Dyes. It was an awesome class and made lots of mess and still have a bit of blue on my hands. Loved learning new techniques. I just need to add photos and I will upload to share.

My girls have a new baby. The girls are now the proud new owners of Buddy who is a male white guinea pig. So I am sure that there will be upcoming layouts featuring him and the girls. They are just so in love with him and even enjoy cleaning out the cage.

Happy Hump Day

Well it Wednesday today so half way through the working week. YAY!!

We have booked our next holiday already. This time the kids will be coming and we are heading off in March for two weeks back to our favourite holiday destination of Phuket. DH has already told me no more tattoos but we will see as March is still a long way away. So 5 nights chilling out and relaxing in Phuket and 5 days of shopping in Kuala Lumper. We haven't been to Kuala Lumper since 2002 so we are eager to get back.

Have noticed my counter has hit over the 1000 mark. Watch this space for the next post where I will have a RAK up for grabs to celebrate.

On the scrappy front I have been busy scrapping up a storm. The mojo has just been flowing and I have been having a ball. Work has been busy so coming home to scrap and destress has been great.

I'm Back

Finally my feet have hit the ground after arriving home from holidays on Thursday morning at 4:30am. Still a bit sleep deprived but feeling much better today after a sleep in until midday.

I had lunch today with my mum which was just lovely. No kids just her and I to catch up. This has been the first time since she has been up and she goes home next week. It will be hard not to have her here and have to say goodbye. I really enjoying having my mum around.

Just before I went away on holidays the lovely Michelle who is in the process of opening her new online store called Addicted2Scrapping asked me to be a DT member for her new store. I have very graciously accepted. Thank you Michelle for the opportunity. I can't wait to create for you. I haven't done much scrapping lately as last week at work was somewhat busy trying to ensure everything was done before I went on leave. So now I am on leave for 2 weeks. Yesterday DH celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary. We both forgot about it. We both aren't too good with the wedding anniversary as we have actually been together for 10 and a half years. Anyway we will get to celebrate soon as DH Adam and I are jetting off tomorrow to Singapore and the onto Phuket for a whole 8 days without the girls. Yep you heard that right no children!!! This will actually be our honeymoon as we took the kids on the first one. Thanks to my wonderful mum who has come up from Queensland to look after the girls for the school holidays and also so we can have a holiday. I am very much looking forward to at least a daily massage and having a big night enjoying the night life.

I stopped past Stamp Craft last week and got some of their fantastic new products from Buzz and Bloom and Green Tara. I already have some great ideas planned so watch this space.

Over the weekend was the Allcraftz June Cyber Crop with a Bohemian Rhapsody theme. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to spend creating as I would have hoped but did manage 3 of the 4 challenges. I did get the last challenge 75% done but not completed in time to be included. Great challenges again and even my neighbour Christine got involved in the challenges this time and produced some fantastic work. I am sure she will get as hooked on them as I am.

Also don't forget to check out the We Challenge You blog for new challenges for the month. My creation this month was an OTP journal. So go and check it out and have some fun with the challenges. Who knows you might pick up a fantastic prize for your challenge.

I popped past my LSS Stamp Craft yesterday and picked up my goodies for some DT work. All I can say is watch this space as I have some great stuff to play and create with. I can't wait to get started.

My mum arrived in from QLD last week and it has been a blessing and a half to have her. She is here primarily to spend time with my girls and look after them during the 4 week school holiday period. DH Adam and I are jetting off next week to Singapore and Phuket for a holiday for 8 days. I am very much looking forward to it and not having the girls to worry about and not to mention the daily massages which I will be getting. Will share photos when I get back.

I was browsing on the Aussie Scrapbooking website and there was a post saying post a comment to be in the winning for Just Johanna/Odd Bird Planet stamp sets. I thought that I would leave a comment as you have to be in it to win it. I am just just gobsmacked that I won a set.

On Saturday I visited one of the LSS Scrappy Days as they had a storwide sale on. I bought a few bits of paper to play with. While I was there I Kerri gave me the last monthly kit. I wasn't too sure about how to create with it as it isn't normally paper that I would use. But I took on the challenge and was happy with how it ended up. I had to use the word two in the title and in journalling and only one other item. My other item was the Kaiser Pearls.

I have been hanging out to find out some news for the past few weeks. It has been so hard to wait but alas good things come to those who wait.

This afternoon I found out the most fantastic and amazing news. After applying for a DT position at my LSS Stampcraft I found out that I was successful!!! I just can't believe it. A dream come true and I can't wait to start creating more and even teach a class or two. The position is for 6 months starting 1 July 2008.

Woohoo - I am on cloud nine and ready to yell out and tell the world. I did warn you that I was excited!! Thanks Karen for the opportunity and I promise to do you proud.

Paige was invited to a birthday party disco last night. So she wanted to dress up funky and I added some make up for her to suit how she wanted to look much to Dad's disgust I must add. I thought Paige looked great so took advantage of the opportunity to take some great pics.

Lazy Weekend

Well not much scrapping happened this weekend. I went to the LSS to scrap on Friday night with my neighbour Christine and we worked on our Album that we did the class for last weekend but never finished. Mine is now 95% finished. I just have to pick my photos up from the shop and curt them down to fit. Can't wait to show it as it is just gorgeous. Thanks Sandra for teaching such a fantastic class.

Saturday was spent playing battle of the board games with the kids. They had a ball and so did I. Paige and Tahlia also did a layout and a card too from a kit they received from Allcraftz for the Allcraftz National Scrapbooking Day that unfortunately didn't arrive until after the event. Needless to say though the girls loved it and thanks to Allcraftz for their generosity.

Sunday consisted of a sleep in which was much needed and a quick trip to the shops to get photos printed and a pit stop for icecream with the girls. I even ended up having a cat nap in the afternoon too. The more battles of the board games with the girls. They just loved it and keep asking to play more.

Well I have been busy with scrapbooking lately and just loving it. Even my girls Paige and Tahlia have been getting into it too.

On Saturday Allcraftz held their very first Allcraftz National Scrapbooking Day. It was an actioned packed day starting from 9am and finishing at 9pm. There were classes, games, challenges and more. It was so hard to keep up with it all but one of the best days ever. My neighbour Christine came over and did one of the classes with me. We didn't end up finishing it on the day as Christine thought it would be clever to add a glass of wine into the mix while doing the class. Hence why we both didn't end up finishing. So will share it when it is done. It really is an amazing mini album and Sandra who taught the class is just amazing and so talented.

Below are some layouts I have done. Some were for a Design Team application at the LSS and the others for the Allcraftz National Scrapbooking Day. I have to give thanks and credit to Jolene Pienaar and Melissa Corbett for a few of the layouts below that I have scraplifted. Both of these ladies truely are amazing and such talented scrappers.

Well the title says it all. I finally found some time to scrap last weekend.

I participated in the Allcraftz Cybercrop which was a lot of fun with and had a theme of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Stepped outside the square with one of the challenges. Paige and Tahlia also participated in the kids challenge.

Challenge 1 - Scrap a layout in blue and brown only

Challenge 2 - Create a layout which contains elements starting with the letters in RAINBOW

New Hair Style

I didn't plan a trip to the hairdresser today however a work colleagues daughter who is a trainee hairdresser needed a model and I was available. I love what she did with my hair and it is so nice to have beautiful hair again. Here are some photos that my girls took for me when I got home. We had a bit of a photo shoot to show off my hair as it rarely happens and I am normally the one behind the camera.

Also Adam picked my girls up this afternoon so they were all home before I did. The girls kept telling me not to go in my room as they were working on a surprise. So imagine how surprised I was when they held my eyes closed and then I opened them to find the following. I don't know who's idea it was but my girls are just precious.

Sadly I haven't had the time to do any scrapbooking this week at all. My poor husband has been so sick. This has left me to manage the household, take the kids to sports training and then sport Friday night and Saturday morning until lunch. Now I think that I am coming down with something too.

We spent Saturday evening out on the nature strip of our neighbours house rocking to Elton John who was playing a live concert over the road. It was sensation. We even walked over the road to have a sneak peak of Elton on the screen and the kids thought it was great too. Leilani especially loved bopping around.

Even though there was no scrapping over the past week I did however manage to scrap last weekend I did a card, a layout and an off the page crown album.

Happy Mother's Day

Well I got my wish today and was granted a sleep in. My beautiful girls spoilt me with many handmade gifts and even some gifts bought from the Mother's Day Stall at school. Adam spoilt me too with 2 DCWV paper stacks. He defiantly knows the way to me heart :)

I spent some time today cleaning up my scraproom and getting the kids to clean up all of their stash too and amalgamate their things into own set of draws. Now time will tell how clean it stays. Hope to get some paint soon so I can have my scraproom in the colour I want.

On the scrapping front I haven't done too much in the last week. I had hoped to do lots of scrapping on the long weekend last week but it didn't happen. So here is what I have done in the past week. Not a huge amount. Last picture is a canvas I did for my mother in law for Mother's Day today.

My big debut!!

Allcraftz Cybercrop

Over the weekend I was having lots of fun participating in the Cybercrop over at Allcraftz. They had some great challenges with the the Scrap Talk to the Animals.

Challenge 1 - Scrap a layout in a different size to what you normally would - 8.5 x 11; 6 x 12; 8 x 8
I went with 8.5 x 11.

Challenge 2 - Create a monochromatic layout

Challenge 3 - Create a bookmark featuring your favourite animal, your pet or just some darn cute animal rubons

Challenge 4 - Scrap a animal/pet layout with items in twos, just like the animals that went into Noah's Ark.

So it's been a while since my last update. I have been really busy with work.

The We Challenge You Blog's first Challenges come out on 1 May so make sure you check them out. The DT have been working hard creating some fantastic work. I am just going to blurt it out. It's official - I was successful in becoming a Design Team member for the We Challenge You blog. I am just beside myself and so happy. It is such an honour. I made myself 2 scrapbooking goals for this year. One was to become a Design Team member and the other is to get published. I am now halfway there.

So on Friday night I went scrapbooking with Christine my lovely neighbour. It didn't take me long to get going and managed to do 3 layouts in a freestyle way. I just love doing freestyle. I had a kit and add on that I had bought from Jodie's etsy. I can't believe how much fun I had. So I thought that I would share my layouts.

I am going on a HOLIDAY

Yep you heard right. My lovely mum is coming up in the June/July school holidays to spend time with the kids. My has kindly said yes to having all the kids while Adam and I jet off somewhere for a week. We are both so excited and have no idea where to go. I am sure it will be somewhere in Asia though. It has been close to 7 years since we have had any time like this to ourselves especially on a holiday. It is so surreal and I can't believe it is going to happen. Adam has suggested Vietnam and Hong Kong. Decisions, decisions. I think I need to get some brochures to help sway me in some direction. Phuket is off the cards as I couldn't do it without the kids. Will keep you posted when we finally decide and book something.

My Scrap Room

It has been a really long time since I started the blog and made my first post. Thought that firstly I would share my create space - my very own Scrap Room. I love the fact that I have mine own place to lock myself into and just create and unwind. The room still needs a coat of paint and some artwork up on the walls but that will happen in time.

Over the past week I have been busy scrapping for the March Cyber Crop Challenge over at Allcraftz 4 U. I had a lot of fun playing and creating. Three layouts and one card. I am not so good at the cards but I tried. Here is what I created.
